New Call Group Features and Minutes – the More, the Merrier
We are pleased to announce that we will be releasing significant Phonebooth feature updates over the next few weeks. These updates address two of the top three requests made by our UserVoice community. Effective immediately our customers can get a sneak peak of the new features on our Phonebooth Free service.
These Phonebooth updates are largely concerned with the way Group calls are presented to Users. The feature changes include:
Group Announcement
This feature plays a short message when a a User receives a call from a Group. The message gives the User the option to “press 1” to take the call or to hang up to leave it in the calling group. This feature provides a solution to some issues expressed by our UserVoice community. Now, you know when an incoming call is from a Group or direct, have the ability to choose whether to take the call and prevent calls from falling into a User’s mobile voicemail when a phone is turned off or is without coverage.
Caller ID Number Control
We have added the ability to choose whether to display the inbound caller’s phone number or the number dialed when sending the call to a Group User. This will allow a User to know if a call is business or personal when answering from a mobile phone.
Caller ID Name Control
Phonebooth OnDemand will soon be able to manipulate the Caller ID name delivered to IP-phones. This feature allows Admins to either prepend characters before the Caller ID name, totally replace the name or just remove it altogether. This feature will only be available in Phonebooth OnDemand.
Adding Minutes Has Arrived
While we made dozens of enhancements and feature updates mainly related to group functionality, we took some time to give Phonebooth Free users more. An update exclusive to the Phonebooth Free platform, we have created the capability for Phonebooth Free Admins to add additional minutes to their service for only $0.03 per minute – a rate 50 percent less than previously announced. To learn more, view a brief step through in the the Phonebooth Free interface.
If you would like to preview the new features, please login to your current Phonebooth Free account.
We are excited to make these new features available to our customers, and we sincerely thank all the participants in our UserVoice community. Please continue to challenge us in our Feedback Forum.
